Using emerging technologies, CMII educates, trains and prepares students to become storytellers, media entrepreneurs and digital content creators. GSU leads the creative media industries in supporting the education of diverse students who make a positive economic, social and cultural impact on the world through storytelling and technology.

CMII opened its doors in 2017 with an inaugural class of 12 media entrepreneurship students and four game design and development students. Today, CMII educates 1,000 students a year, preparing them for careers in the fast-growing creative industries in Georgia and beyond.

As a hub for the intersection of creativity and technology, 

CMII enjoys close proximity to the university’s programs in music, art and design, film, theatre, creative writing, journalism, game design, computer science and related programs in intellectual property (at the College of Law) and entrepreneurship (coordinated by the Robinson College of Business).
