Georgia’s Zell Miller Scholarship is available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement. 

The scholarship provides money to assist students with the tuition cost of attending a Zell Miller Scholarship eligible college or university.

Georgia’s Zell Miller Scholarship has program eligibility requirements, academic requirements, and a length of eligibility. 

To be eligible for the Zell Miller Scholarship, you must meet specific criteria, including:

  • Being a legal resident of Georgia
  • Next, you must be graduated from an eligible Georgia high school
  • Ensure a minimum high school GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale
  • A minimum score of 1200 on the SAT or 26 on the ACT
  • You must meet the Georgia residency requirements

The application process for the Zell Miller Scholarship involves the following steps:

Submit the FAFSA: Being an applicant, you must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.

Check Eligibility: You (the student) should review the specific eligibility requirements and ensure they meet all the criteria.

**Note Georgia public and private high school students: can track their Zell Miller Scholarship status from high school through their GAfutures.com account where you can see your Hope GPA of 3.0 or higher for Georgia Hope and at least 3.7 for Zell Miller. 

ACT and SAT score requirements are needed to be met. Visit Commonapp.org to apply to colleges and universities.  Request to send the test scores directly to the applied colleges.

Note: Graduates of unaccredited home study programs or out-of-state high schools must submit an academic evaluation request and documents for an academic eligibility evaluation. Use the Student Document Upload feature to submit academic evaluation documents as one file.
