Georgia Music Foundation Music 2024 Grant Deadline Nov. 1st

Georgia Music Foundation Georgia Music Grant applications for music programs taking place in 2025 will go live at georgiamusicfoundation.org on Oct. 1, 2024 and will be accepted through Nov. 1, 2024.

Grant recipients will be notified by Dec. 15, 2024 and awards will be disbursed in January 2025.

Eligible applicants include K-12 schools (public, private and charter) and non-profit organizations with IRS 501(c)3 status.

The music programs must fall under one of the three categories below, with preference given to music education programs in rural or underserved communities:

Music Education:  Music teachers, band directors or administrators at public, private and charter schools may apply for their music program or music classroom.

Public and charter schools must identify in their application the percentage of students that qualify for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) free or reduced price school meals.

All private schools must provide the cost of tuition and the number of students that receive full or partial scholarships based on low income.

Music Preservation: Cultural heritage programs or projects that document Georgia’s rich music history are considered for funding.

The programs or projects must preserve or produce materials that will be made accessible through a Georgia-based archive, museum, library or historical organization.

Examples include, but are not limited to, archival research, conducting oral and video histories and restoring or digitizing historically significant materials.
